WHEN THE UNTHINKABLE HAPPENS
WHAT WOULD YOU DO?

This Active Shooter workshop is designed to give a basic knowledge to educate civilians on how to respond to and survive an active shooter situation. Deputy Ken Cooper from the Saratoga Sheriff’s Department will start the workshop with a forty-five minute presentation on how to respond and survive an active shooter situation. Then Russ Lee and Marc Delnicki, Chief instructor, will conduct a two-hour interactive demonstration and training session on “How to” survive an Active Shooter situation.

In this session, the steps of conflict, situational awareness, and the concepts of Retzef (continuous attack) will be taught with basic strikes to an attacker’s soft targets. Drills will be introduced to show how one can disarm an attacker with explosive weapon takeaways. The session will be completed with a scenario based stress situation to exercise one’s newly acquired awareness and techniques.
